Downlands Class consists of Year 2 and Year 3 children this year.  Mrs Kay teaches from Monday to Wednesday and Mrs Lockrose on a Thursday and Friday. Mr Day is our class teaching assistant. We enjoy working together as a team.

The children are also taught PE with Mr Gardner on Wednesday afternoons.

This half term we are studying the topic 'Seascapes' which will link to many areas of the curriculum. Our English text this half term is 'The Secret of Black Rock' which is an adventure story which explores a legend linked to the sea and coastal towns. In Geography, we will be looking at the countries within the UK and exploring the waters around the British Isles.

For more information, please see the Summer 1  curriculum map below.

If you have any queries, please come and chat to one of us.

Downlands Class had a fantastic trip to Marwell Zoo and saw a wide range of animals. We learnt a lot about animal characteristics, habitats, adaptations and diets. Enjoy looking at some of the photos taken on the visit.
