Forest School at Harting

At Harting we our children are fortunate to not only benefit from an onsite wildlife hide and wildlife garden, but every child also has access to our very own dedicated forest school site just minutes from the school. 

Our forest school site has been developed over the past few years and now also consists of its very own composting toilet. 

Led by two specialised Forest School trained teachers, every class in the school gets the opportunity to experience half a term's forest school learning each academic year. During their weekly sessions, children are taught about the world and nature around them. They also focus on developing essential life skills in the forest school environment including the continued promotion of positive mental health and wellbeing.
